My Dance ~ 09 Salon

My Dance ~ 09 Salon
Pinkish red linear holo

I found this polish (and a sister) on Aliexpress. I have also seen the brand on evilbay.

The formula is really good and so is the coverage and the drying time. The smell was complete normal for a nail polish. I mention the normal smell because unknown brands from Asia sometimes smell really chemical, but this one doesn’t.

I stamped by the base of each nail. I used a stamping plate from Moyou London called Mandala Collection-11 and I stamped with a black stamping polish from El Corazón.

This is the final mani including topcoat. The picture is taken with flash.

This is what the polish looks like in ordinary daylight, no sun. The rainbows are still there.

Here’s the polish on its own without stamping. The picture is taken with flash.

I have another sister to show you. She’ll be up tomorrow so stay tuned.

My Dance comes in 15 different colours. Each bottle is 6ml and I think I paid US$3.34 for each bottle. No postage costs so I guess it’s okay for a small bottle of prettiness.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great polish with lovely rainbows.

KBShimmer ~ The Holy Kale

KBShimmer ~ The Holy Kale
Green linear holo with added micro glass flakes that shift between blue and pink

The Holy Kale is from the Winter/Holiday collection from 2016. I only bought it recently though.

The formula is good but the polish is a teeny wee bit sheer. I applied two coats but when I look at my pictures I can see that I should have added a third coat. That’s noted for the next time I wear it: Three coats is needed. The drying time is really good, no worries there.

I stamped on it. The chevrons are from my new Lina stamping plate “Feeling shapely! 01” and I stamped with a stamping polish from El Corazón called “Restless Nights”. It’s a beautiful shimmery dark purple.

Here’s my final mani, including a layer of topcoat, and taken with flash.

Here’s the same thing taken in ordinary daylight, no sun. On this picture you get a glimpse of the pretty micro glass flecks showing off their blue side.

This is The Holy Kale on it’s own. It’s two coats and no topcoat. Like I said: I should have applied three coats for full opacity.

Here are the two sisters side by side. I really like that stamping polish, it’s so nice with a good dark purple for stamping!

Number of coats: 2 – but I should have used 3
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo with micro glass flecks
Overall impression: Cool colour and great rainbows. I’m glad it dries fast, otherwise I would have said “no” to buy again

Dam Nail Polish ~ Holo Kitty

Dam Nail Polish ~ Holo Kitty
Baby pink linear holo

Dam Nail Polish is a new brand to me. I was captured by the holos in her shop and bought a handful. Holo Kitty is from the Holo World Collection and is the first one I try on.

The formula is good and easy to work with. I used two coats for desired opacity and the drying time was good.

I stamped flowers on it because I was in that kind of mood. The flowers are from my new Lina stamping plate Make Your Mark 04 and I stamped with a dark red stamping polish from Born Pretty Store. They don’t put names on their stamping polish, which is super irritating because then I have to look it up every time. It’s called Wine Red, just for the record.

Here’s the final mani including a layer of Moyra’s stamping topcoat. The picture is taken in the sun.

Here’s Holo Kitty on its own. It’s a beautiful baby pink with amazing rainbows. This picture is also taken in the sunshine.

This is what Holo Kitty looks like in the shade. There are still rainbows. The colour is too pale for me to wear on its own though, which is why I stamped the dark red flowers on it.

Here are the two polishes side by side.

Are you familiar with Dam Nail Polish yourself?
